What is AST® Technology?
AST® is a proprietary system that works as follows: When AST® is engaged, it shuts off the pump and motor after 30 seconds if the gun is not in use and water is not flowing through the system. When the pressure washer operator pulls the trigger again, the motor and pump go on. This feature is particularly useful for applications in which the pressure washer operator is using a long hose, say more than 25 feet, and it is not practical for them to go back and forth to the machine to turn it off during every break.
The pumps and motors in conventional electric pressure washers remain active whether or not water is flowing through the system. As a result the user has to keep walking back to the system to shut it off or risk damaging the motor and pump.

Powerful Pressure Wash Systems for Challenging Applications
One important aspect that determines the cleaning power of commercial pressure washers is the pressure level. In other words, gas pressure washers with moderate pressure levels are good for lighter-duty applications, while the high pressure versions are used for more challenging tasks. The Super Max™ 12300 AST® available from Daimer® is a powerful and durable pressure washer that is powered by electricity, heated by propane, and includes a heavy-duty housing. These new power washers feature the unique auto shutoff technology that reduces the wear and tear on the components by automatically switching off the motor and pump when the trigger gun is not used for about 30 seconds. This tri-mode pressure washing equipment that generates cold water, hot water, or wet steam is capable of attaining pressure levels of 3000 psi and flow rates of 5 gpm.
Powered by a 10.0 HP NEMA engine, industrial pressure washers like the Super Max™ 12300 AST® generate steam at temperatures as high as 330ºF and hot water at temperatures of up to 210ºF. The heavy duty heating coils convert cold water to hot water in as little as 30 seconds. The trailer mountable configurations of these hot water pressure washers enable users to easily move the system to different spots.
